Happy New Year everyone. 2023 arrives this weekend bringing with it more Fun in The Five! After returning to the NFL FLAG family this fall, we successfully upped our game with fun activities like a visit from Santa and his Magic Ship, running on the field with the Sobrato Varsity Football team on Senior Night and bringing back our Turkey Bowl tradition. Oh Yeah! We played a lot of fun flag football too.
This winter we welcome the Bay Area Panthers to Morgan Hill, host a Free Flag Football Jamboree on January 8th and begin our 60th season since 2004. This is going to be fun!
Our 2023 Winter Season begins with our Jamboree on January 8th. We move into season activities with our Player Combine January 15th, preseason January 22nd and 29th, then play our first games February 5th and finish our season with Friday Night Lights on March 10th. We offer two locations at Ann Sobrato and Christopher High Schools and bring back our Girls Only League at Sobrato. Registration is open now at www.sv5nflflag.com.
Part of the winter season fun in The Five! is a School Spirit Contest. The school with the most students registered with The Five! receives $10 per student registered and a flag football starter kit that includes footballs, flags and cones.
As you may have read in Morgan Hill Life, Morgan Hill is getting a professional football team when the Bay Area Panthers arrive in January 2023. They are committed to supporting our community with plans to visit the schools and work with youth organizations. The Five! is getting first crack at discounted Home Opener tickets, halftime exhibition play and more. Are you ready for some (FREE) Flag Football?! We are kicking off The Five! in 2023 with a celebration of flag football in the south valley. Join us at the Outdoor Sports Center on January 8th, Noon-4pm for relay races, passing contests, Parent-Child games, a 2-on-2 tournament, and a Throwback Gear sale. This activity is open to all flag football enthusiasts regardless of registration status. Don't miss the fun!
